Mastering for CD or a Digital Download Release
Audio mastering is the “Dark Art” end process of the recording schedule for a music release. Basically the tracks that have been recorded by the band or artist are tweaked and processed so that they sound louder, punchier and just well, better than most underground music around at the moment.
The whole idea is that the tracks that have been recorded stand out when played on different formats. I.e. in a club, on the radio, on headphones and on a home music system when compared to other tracks. Especially tracks that have been produced by big expensive mainstream studios.
Over the years, as most of you reading this will know, Nightbreed Recordings has released a large number of albums, EPs and singles aimed at the underground Gothic/Industrial scene. During that time we have honed and perfected our sonic skills so that our tracks are the ones that jump out to the listener. In addition to mastering initially just for the Nightbreed label. Our skills and reputation were such that other labels and artists from other musical genre's were in contact with us to master their work via our sister label SNC Recordings as well as other labels and organisations. We are proud to say that we have over the years worked with styles from Dubstep, HipHop, Rap, Breakbeat, Drum and Bass, Indie Rock, Heavy Metal, Black metal, Pop in addition to our label specialism.
